Jackie Huber

Director of Music Ministry

Jackie was born in Nashville Tennessee but moved to Phoenix when she was about six months old. She graduated from Shadow Mountain High School and then moved to Chicago to pursue a BM and an MM in vocal performance from DePaul University and Northwestern University. Upon moving back to Phoenix she sang with Arizona Opera in their chorus for 12 seasons and The Phoenix Chorale for 6 seasons before deciding to pursue music ministry full time.

She is the daughter of two ministers, so faith has been a part of her life since birth. Before becoming Presbyterian, she came from a non-denominational background. She had the wonderful experience during college of having church jobs singing with choirs from several different denominations.

She has three children: Grant, Lillian, and Amelia. Jackie lives and breathes music and loves listening to different styles of music. She loves going to see live theater, especially musicals with her children. She loves to do craft projects and make things with her hand (seriously, she’s full of creativity!!). She also loves to play board games and card games as well as do puzzles but her all-time favorite leisure activity is traveling and seeing things she’s never seen before. She loves to find off the beaten track kinds of experiences for her family.

When asked about her job at Mountain View, she joyfully replies, “This is a job? I get to come to Mountain View and make music to the glory of God with dear friends.”
