“Who Is This King?”
Wednesdays at 9:45am
In Meredith Hall & Online
Led by Pastor Lyn Corazin
This study will take us deep into one of the most beloved books of the New Testament, where we encounter Jesus as both the long-awaited Messiah and the present King who calls His followers to live as citizens of His Kingdom.
The Gospel of Matthew is rich with teaching, miracles, and parables, all pointing to the reality of the Kingdom of God. In its pages we see Jesus not only proclaiming the good news but also facing challenges from religious leaders, skeptics, and even His own disciples. Each interaction highlights both His authority and His compassion, drawing us to consider what it means to follow Him in our own daily lives.
Matthew originally wrote this gospel to Jewish Christians who were struggling to find their place in the early church. They were asking hard questions about identity, belonging, and faith in uncertain times. Those same questions still echo today. As we study together, we will reflect on how Christ’s words and actions speak into our own experiences of doubt, perseverance, and hope.
Both men and women are invited to participate in this study.
Come ready to listen, learn, and ask the question with us: Who is this King?
Few figures in Scripture have a story as dramatic as Saul’s transformation into Paul. Once a zealous Pharisee determined to silence the early church, Saul’s life was radically changed when he encountered Jesus on the road to Damascus. From that moment forward, the man who had fiercely opposed the gospel became one of its most passionate messengers.
In this class, we will walk through Saul’s journey and the letters of Paul to see how God can take even the hardest of hearts and use them for His glory. Together we’ll explore questions like: What does true transformation look like? How do we move from living by our own strength to living by faith? And what can Paul’s life teach us about sharing the good news of Christ in our own time?
Whether you are new to Bible study or have spent years in Scripture, this class will encourage and challenge you. Come ready to learn, discuss, and be inspired by the story of God’s redeeming power that is just as alive today as it was in the first century.
