Welcome to MVPC!
We are a welcoming church that will be enhanced by your presence with us.
We are a diverse family and a vibrant community of faith. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we strive to be serious about God and the great Christian tradition that we have inherited. This is especially true in our worship services where God’s word is proclaimed and music is sung all to the glory of God with plenty of joy and laughter thrown in. Jesus Christ is our center and his grace holds us together as a diverse body with different backgrounds and traditions.
There are about 800 members of this church, and the demographics are pretty even. We have many families and a vibrant youth and children’s ministry; we also have many retired folks – and pretty much everything in between. We are a diverse body that loves to worship and serve together in many different and unique ways. Often we gather together in small groups for study and prayer and many members are engaged in mission projects both local and globally.

Church Planting
God is a “sending God” who creatively takes the initiative to redeem His world. The church is the instrument of God’s mission in the world. We believe Mountain View Presbyterian Church is being invited and empowered by God to participate in His work already ordained for Scottsdale and Phoenix. Therefore, rather than believing that the church has a mission to accomplish, we can envision and act on the fact that God’s mission has a church.
