David: When Faith Meets Life - Pastor Lyn Bible Study
Pastor Lyn will teach a series from 1 and 2 Samuel called “David: When Faith Meets Life.” The class begins September 9 at 9:45 in Meredith Hall and online. The goal this year is to grow more deeply in our relationship with Jesus by seeing how even those chosen by God are tempted, tried, and protected by God’s love in Christ.
This study will follow the historical and Biblical narrative of David’s life. We will also see God’s continued love and care for Israel, his intervention in the lives of his people as they demand a king, and as they are caught up in endless wars and palace drama. Beneath all the drama is the story of a personal relationship between God and David, a man after God’s own heart, which leads to Jesus being named the Son of David in the New Testament (Matthew 1:1).
