The latest happenings for you & your family at MVPC
Stitching Sisters
Stitching Sisters meets monthly on the second Wednesday to promote fellowship among women who machine sew or do hand needlework. A devotion is shared before we break for our own sack lunch. Personal projects are regularly in progress. Participation is encouraged in the design and construction of group projects, which are sewn by multiple members. These have included quilts and various home goods which are then offered for sale at the fundraiser in November. Sale money benefits the Women’s Ministries account for distribution to local and faraway missions.
Book Circle
Book Circle discusses one book every month. We meet at 10:00 am on the second Monday of the month, September through June.
Hands for Mission
The Hands-for-Mission group knits and crochets blocks that are assembled into afghans, which are donated to a variety of charitable organizations throughout Arizona. We also provide baby blankets to veteran moms with babies. Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of the month in the EEC room, between 1:00 and 3:00 pm. All supplies are provided by Women’s Ministries. Yarns and blocks are available in our cabinets in the EEC room for those who would like to knit, crochet and assemble afghans/blankets at home.
Ruth Circle
We meet the third Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am in The Gathering Room September through May. In December we have a Christmas lunch in a member’s home. This year we have a two part focus for study: we spend time sharing to get to know each other better and we are studying Women of the Bible.
Prayer Gathering
As our church walks through a season of transition and looks ahead to the calling of our next pastor, we invite you to join us for intentional times of prayer. These gatherings are a way for us to come together as a church family—seeking God’s guidance, wisdom, and peace as we move forward together.
We will gather on the second Tuesday of each month in Annex #101, with two opportunities to participate:
Midday Prayer: 11:00–11:45am
Evening Prayer: Soup at 5:30pm | Prayer from 6:00–6:45pm
Upcoming Dates:
April 14
May 12
June 9
When God’s people pray together, good things happen—sometimes quietly, sometimes powerfully, always faithfully. Come as you are, bring a friend, and let’s place this season in God’s hands.

The event will take place in Meredith Hall. There is no cost to attend, but please register in advance so we can plan for food and seating.
We can’t wait to share this charming afternoon together! 🫖🌸
An Evening with C.S. Lewis
Join C.S Lewis, played by renowned actor, David Payne in a one man play: C.S. Lewis. Watch this mesmerizing performance as Lewis speaks of the people and events that shaped his life: his friendship with J.R.R. Tolkien, how he turned from atheism to Christianity and became a true champion of the faith, how he navigated his journey through grief when his American wife died, and his anticipation of what awaits all followers of Jesus when they cross their mortal barrier. And all this interspersed with the humor for which he was renowned.
Easter Sunday
Celebrate the joy and hope of Easter at Mountain View Presbyterian Church! Join us as we gather to proclaim the good news that Christ is risen!
We will offer three worship services on Easter morning:

11:00 AM – Contemporary Service
Each service will include uplifting music, meaningful worship, and a message celebrating the resurrection of Jesus and the hope we have because of Him. Whether you prefer traditional hymns or contemporary worship, we invite you, your family, and your friends to come celebrate this glorious day with us.
