Season 8, Episode 1

Lent is a season to slow down and be with Jesus.

In this episode of Flourishing Disciples, Pastor Kirk Sexton is joined by Debby DeBernardi to begin a six-week journey through the “I AM” statements of Jesus in the Gospel of John.

We start with Jesus’ declaration:

“I am the Bread of Life. Whoever comes to Me will never hunger.” (John 6:35)

What does it really mean to believe this? Is faith simply agreeing with a statement — or is it knowing, accepting, and living as if it is true?

Together we explore:

  • The difference between blind belief and living faith

  • The deeper meaning behind the Bread of Life

  • Why Jesus offers Himself — not just what He can give

  • How to feast on Christ daily

We close with a guided Examen practice to help you experience Jesus as your sustaining Bread this week.

Join us as we begin this Lenten journey toward a flourishing life in Christ.
