HOLY WEEK AT MVPC

Stations of the Cross:
Experience the Stations of the Cross at MVPC! This Lent, we invite you to step into the story of Christ’s final hours through our interactive Stations of the Cross experience. With 14 stations thoughtfully placed around our campus, this journey offers a time for reflection, prayer, and deeper engagement with Jesus’ path to the cross. Each station features interactive elements designed to bring the Gospel accounts to life in a meaningful way. Start at the cross in the courtyard where you will find a map.

Holy Week Daily Devotions at MVPC
As we journey through Holy Week together, we invite you to join us for a special time of quiet reflection and prayer each morning in the Sanctuary.

🕗 Monday–Friday | 8:00–8:30 AM
📍 In the Sanctuary
💬 Led by a different member of our MVPC staff each day

These short morning gatherings are designed to help us slow down, reflect on Scripture, and center our hearts on Christ as we move toward Easter. Each devotion will include prayer, a brief reflection, and time for silent contemplation.

No sign-up is needed. Just come as you are, enter quietly, and take a seat near the front as soft piano music sets the tone. Whether you can join us for one day or all five, we hope this time brings meaning and peace to your Holy Week.

Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday: From Passover to Communion Join us for a unique, 75-minute outdoor service shaped by the Jewish Passover. This "teaching meal" illuminates the exact moment the symbols of the Seder became the elements of our Communion. We will enjoy a simple meal of Matzah ball soup, bread, and water.

· The Bread: Discover the meaning of the Afikomen—the broken, hidden, and returned bread.

· The Cup: Experience the “Cup of Redemption” as the transition into the New Covenant.

· The Table: A participatory worship experience concluding with the Words of Institution and a silent departure.

· Time/Date: Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 6:30 pm

· Setting: Outdoor Patio (dress accordingly).

Good Friday

Join us for a moving and reflective Good Friday Service on April 3 at 6:30 PM as we remember the sacrifice of Christ on the cross.

This year’s service will feature a powerful presentation of John Rutter’s Requiem performed by the Mountain View Choir, offering beautiful and prayerful music that helps us enter into the solemn meaning of the day. The service will also include reflections on the Seven Last Words of Christ from the Cross, guiding us through the final moments of Jesus’ earthly life.

Easter Sunday

Celebrate the joy and hope of Easter at Mountain View Presbyterian Church! Join us as we gather to proclaim the good news that Christ is risen!

We will offer three worship services on Easter morning:

8:30 AM – Traditional Service
9:45 AM – Traditional Service (also livestreamed)
11:00 AM – Contemporary Service

Each service will include uplifting music, meaningful worship, and a message celebrating the resurrection of Jesus and the hope we have because of Him. Whether you prefer traditional hymns or contemporary worship, we invite you, your family, and your friends to come celebrate this glorious day with us.

Please note that there will be no kids or youth programming during the services. Families are encouraged to sit together in worship as we celebrate the hope and joy of Easter! Nursery will be available at 9:45am and 11:00am. MVSN will meet during the 11:00am service.
