HYMN All Creatures of Our God and King – No. 23

SPECIAL MUSIC Sweet Hour of Prayer, arr. McChesney (handbells)

PRAYER OF CONFESSION (spoken in unison)
Almighty God, we confess that the glow and excitement of the resurrection morn has already begun to fade away. We take so much for granted, as though You owe us all these wonderful blessings. Yet, how barren our faith would be without the cross and the resurrection. Forgive us for allowing the cares of this world to rob us of those things that really matter. Help us to see You as our resurrected King and move us forward in our following of Your call upon our lives. May the Christ who rose on that first resurrection morn become more real to us each day, and may our lives be used by You to bring this message of hope to a needy world. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
