PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Lord, we confess that our souls have been parched, not because You are far away, but because we have looked for water in broken cisterns. We have tried to satisfy our deepest hunger with things that do not nourish and our thirst with things that do not satisfy. Forgive us for trusting in our own strength, busywork, and temporary comforts rather than running to You. We confess that we have too often prioritized other pursuits over Your presence, causing our spirits to wither. Our souls’ longs for You. We come to you in spiritual dryness and ask that You, the Fountain of Living Water, would fill us anew. Lord, remind us that Your love is better than life. Restore the joy of Your salvation and renew a right spirit within us. Quench our thirst with Your grace and remake us into vessels of Your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
