CALL TO WORSHIP

Pastor: Brothers and sisters, we gather today as pilgrims and sojourners, people whose hope is not rooted in the things that are seen but in the promises of God.
People: Though our earthly tents are temporary, God has prepared for us an eternal dwelling
Pastor: Christ is risen from the dead and has conquered the grave.
People: Therefore, we need not fear death, for our life is hidden with Christ in God.
Pastor: God has given us His Holy Spirit as a guarantee of all that is to come.
People: We come with confidence, longing to please Him and to worship Him with glad hearts.
Pastor: Let us worship the Lord who has prepared an eternal home for His people.
People: We worship the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Merciful God, You have created us for Yourself and prepared for us an eternal inheritance in Christ, yet we confess that we often live as though this present world is all there is. We place our confidence in temporary things and cling too tightly to earthly comforts. We fear loss, suffering, aging, and death more than we trust Your promises. We become anxious about tomorrow and forget that our future is secure in Your hands. Forgive us for living by sight instead of by faith. Forgive us for seeking the approval of people more than the blessings God promises. Forgive us for wasting opportunities to serve Your kingdom and for neglecting the eternal things that truly matter. Renew our hearts by Your Holy Spirit. Fix our eyes upon Jesus, who died and rose again for us. Teach us to live courageously, serve faithfully, and hope confidently until the day we are finally at home with You. We pray in the name of our risen Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

COMMUNION LITURGY
Leader: Is it fitting and right that we come to this table?

People: Yes, it is fitting and right because Jesus came not for the strong, but for the weak; not for the righteous, but for sinners; not for the self-sufficient, but for those who know they need rescue.

Leader: To all who are weary and need rest; to all who mourn and long for comfort; to all who feel worthless and wonder if God even cares; to all who are weak and frail and desire strength; to all who sin and need a savior—

People: Jesus welcomes into his circle, adopts into his family, and reserves a place at his Table.

All: For he is the mighty friend of sinners, the ally of his enemies, the defender of the indefensible, and the justifier of those who have no excuses left.
