PREP FOR WORSHIP
CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: We gather with the saints of every time and place, giving thanks for those who walked in faith before us.
People: As they followed Christ, may we follow in love and faithfulness.
Leader: Let us worship God, who calls us to share in the joy of the saints.
All: Glory to God, now and forever! Amen.
HYMN For All the Saints – No. 529
PRAYER OF CONFESSION (spoken in unison)
Holy God, You call us to follow the example of the saints, but we confess that we fall short. We are slow to trust, quick to judge, and reluctant to love as Christ has loved us. Forgive us, Lord. Renew our hearts and strengthen our faith, so we may live as your faithful people, sharing in the hope of all the saints. Through Jesus Christ, our Savior, we pray. Amen.

COMMUNION LITURGY
Leader: Is it fitting and right that we come to this table?
People: Yes, it is fitting and right because Jesus came not for the strong, but for the weak; not for the righteous, but for sinners; not for the self-sufficient, but for those who know they need rescue.
Leader: To all who are weary and need rest; to all who mourn and long for comfort; to all who feel worthless and wonder if God even cares; to all who are weak and frail and desire strength; to all who sin and need a savior—
People: Jesus welcomes into his circle, adopts into his family, and reserves a place at his Table.
All: For he is the mighty friend of sinners, the ally of his enemies, the defender of the indefensible, and the justifier of those who have no excuses left.
