Our staff plans for special activities, worship, and messages that allow the parents to go beyond the surface, get to know more about their child, and purposefully grow together.
Frequently Asked Questions
How old do my kids have to be to enjoy Family Camp?
This camp is accessible to all ages. If your kiddos still need to nap, your private cabins make that possible. The grounds are stroller friendly, too! If your kids are a little older and looking for some independence, the playground and cabin layout make that reasonable, too!
When you say camp, do you mean tents?
No! Camp Pinerock offers a variety of very simple but clean, comfortable and cozy cabins. Each has it's own bathroom (shower, sink, toilet). Some of the cabins have AC but not all. Usually, the weather is perfect and AC is not necessary. We also travel with box fans just in case! You are welcome to bring a pac'n' play if that helps! Basic cabins do not have sheets or towels. You will want to bring all of those with you.
How's the food?
All but one of our meals are provided by Camp Pinerock in their dining room. Our first meal on Friday night is brought in. We usually do pizza and salad! All other meals are buffet style and delicious! If you have dietary restrictions, we can let the kitchen know so that accommodations can be made.
What do we do at Family Camp?
The goal of Family Camp is to bring each family unit closer together while also building relationships with other church families. This is done through silly skits, short messages, family activities, all group games and worship.
I keep hearing about free time? What are these options?
Camp Pinerock offers several options for us to use at free time on Saturday. These include: zip line, ropes course, pool, archery, and the creek. In addition, we also travel with a ton of board games and lawn games. Some families choose to nap or go into town as well. There really is something for everyone of every age!
