Local Missions
Phoenix Dream Center
The mission of the Phoenix Dream Center is to stop human trafficking, end childhood hunger, educate tomorrow’s leaders, and help to build social enterprises. They do this through offering residential programs and community engagement outreach services. Since 2016, MVPC has been partnering with PDC through consistent personal involvement by hosting events at MVPC for the guests such as: Christmas celebrations for all of the guests, providing Easter activities, and hosting a Spring Prom. In addition MVPC volunteers have worked at the Dream Center teaching weekly life skills classes, building and caring for the community garden, and remodeling and maintaining the rooms that house the residents. Financial support comes through regular budget support and special offering opportunities.

Foster Care Mission
–Florence Crittenton
The mission of the ministry to foster girls is to make sure that every girl whose life we encounter experiences safety, hope, and opportunity. Partnering with the Florence Crittenton Organization, MVPC provides weekly outreach to high school age girls. At times the girls come to campus for classes, fellowship, special events, worship, and more. And at times the opportunity comes to go to their home and provide support there. As relationships are built we have the privilege of walking with them in the celebrations and in the challenges.

Their mission is to seek to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Their vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. When we partner with them we get the opportunity to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through advocating for affordable housing while promoting dignity and hope.
